LITTLE ‘LATO
New Zealand’s favourite gelato entrepreneur Little ‘Lato, has opened the doors to a new parlour at Nova Scotia Junction, Waipu.

The popular bespoke parlour is serving some of the consistently popular flavours that have been awarded prestigious gold awards for NZ’s best gelato and dairy-free ice cream at the 2024 NZ Ice Cream Awards.

Owner and self described gelato fanatic, Hannah Wood knew she’d found her niche when a childhood fantasy became a reality.
After finishing school she took herself to Italy to study at the Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna and learnt the fine art of making gelato. On returning to New Zealand she set up a small batch brand to test the market. A purpose built factory in Auckland followed soon after and the rest is history.
She was certain about one thing, the brand had to be authentic and the flavours would need to appeal to her New Zealand market. Hannah has a wild imagination and ensures half her range is vegan friendly.

They sell cones, tubs and will make-to-order for special occasions. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a gelato in the garden located at the side of the building.

Little ‘Lato is located alongside The Collective and is a much loved addition to Nova Scotia Junction.
